Congratulations, Susan! That's great news! Smile

"An adventurous Baltimore musician was awarded one of the region’s largest arts prizes Thursday night as the top winner of the 2017 Baker Artist Awards.

Susan Alcorn, who has taken the pedal steel guitar far beyond its traditional country western environment, was awarded the $30,000 Mary Sawyers Imboden Prize, as well as the $10,000 Mary Sawyers Baker Prize that each of the six winners received."

Congratulations, Susan. You have taken the pedal steel guitar in some new directions and I am sure introduced the instrument to a new audience.

Well, yet again it falls to ME to be the Voice Of Reason (VOR, as we insiders say). It sounds small enough we're not too likely to soon be "rocked" by "Susan Alcorn Presenting the Hits of Justin Bieber! (for Yo Listening Pleasure - Yo!)" - or the likes. But we must keep yon eyes keenly peeled. Metaphorically.... Cool You know how "THEY" get once they get the tip of their (metaphorical) oyster knife into the crack in the armor. Megaphorically....

Congrats, Susan. Which note pushed 'em over the edge, do you know? Rolling Eyes

I'm not sure why a voice of reason would be needed in a post meant to congratulate a great player.

Congratulations, Susan. I love your playing.
