I'm sure this has been asking before.
Maybe I ask again for your settings, thanks |

Paul, I'm sure you will get many responses. As a comparative newcomer I had to wade through the process and would offer a couple items of advice.
First, YOU are the one who has to like the sound. Try all the various settings you will get here, but don't feel there is a "right" and "wrong", unless you are attempting to exactly duplicate some song as recorded.
Second, when you find something you like, write it down with date, the settings, what room you are in, what effects if any you have working. Obviously you will need different settings if you are playing on a stage in a park than you will practicing in a small room in the basement.
And last, don't be afraid to change your settings as your tastes and skills change. What you love today may sound terrible to you in two months, that's perfectly OK.
I'm going through some tweaking on mine so I won't confuse you with what I have at the moment. You'll get some good specifics here I'm sure. |

Well I only play through Fender Twin; but every Peavey Amp I've had to plug into; I ended up setting pretty much the same way.
Low: 2-3 o'clock
Mid: Freakin OFF....
Shift: 2 o-clock
High and presence 12 o'clock and lean towards 1 o'clock for clarity depending on the room/stage..other instruments I have to play with.

The stock speaker in the 112 is VERY mid strong. I recently pulled it and replaced it with a Fender Eminence , the one with the Gold Label.
The entire mid range slope of the amp changed...for the better. This particular Emmi speaker can tend to be very bright so rolling back both the presence and treble would be normal.
Oh and this, if there is a concern, the Fender Emmi is an 8 ohm speaker, the stock 112 speaker is a 4 ohm, nothing happened. Over a year now, weekly gigs. Not even any noticeable volume loss. _________________ Emmons L-II , Fender Telecasters, B-Benders
