There is no substitute for live lessons and I am very fortunate to be within a few miles of the great Margie Mays...it is an inspiration to hear her play and she gives me insights, arrangements and ideas and technique suggestions on things that I wouldnt pick up otherwise. I am sure a lot of you know her from the steel shows but if you dont, check her out on youtube. I feel like I am 18 y/o again learning and having a ball with all of the non-pedal stuff that is available ! Dont know of anyone in the Oklahoma area where I live who could continue to guide me on my ventures, but maybe I can find someone at the Oklahoma show in a couple of weeks. I have enough things to work on to keep me busy for quite a while !
