Just watched him on utube. This is just what we need in the pedal steel world.A really good young player with great control, tone style and I could go on and on about him.Give him a listen and you too will be very pleased. We need him and many more youngesters to keep our instrument alive.
Our values in the SWSGA are just that, to make young people aware of our instrument.I Hope Matthew is invited to jams and shows where he lives. If he is close to our Arizona show
He is more than welcome to play.

Mathew is a great young man... WITH Manners... He’s well on his way to becoming a really good musician with a ton of natural talent... I don’t know any other steel pickers from Finland, but think its a good guess that he will be one of the best to come from there.

Said talent is also extended to his day time studies as he is in college, and doing very well

I do, Jani Sandvik and Peter Nylund; both seasoned players with Jani being just a youngster and Peter an old fart Smile Laughing

Well, "there" would be the Netherlands, Mathews home, not Finland

Here's Mathew in action at a steel show in his area

Laughing unless this wasn't a surf music reference.

This is great. Matthew's poised, has some very nice dymanics in his playing (that ask for a live band behind him),
and some chords that are his own. Kudos.
