Has anyone had any issue's with the roland cube type amps? I have one that has been solid, last night I loaned it to a friend and ran acoustic guitar thru it, then out of the direct out into the board.

now today I went to play thru it and everything lights up like normal but theres no sound, just wondering if anyone else has had something similar happen and if so were they able to fix it.

Does running through the direct out mute the internal speaker much like a headphone jack? If so, amp may still be in direct out mode. Is there a selector present on the panel or on the floor pedal?

David thanks for the reply, it does seem like exactly that, the odd thing is, the way I was using it, we had the amp speaker being used in addition to going thru the direct out to the PA, basically just coming out of the amp instead of using a DI

but yeah now it seems as though the internal speaker is switched off, but there doesn't seem to be a obvious way of switching it back on,

I had a question about an amp a year or two ago. Sent an email to roland.com. They were very helpful. I got a reply in a couple of days. Might try that.Butch in NC

Have you tried plugging a cable back into the Direct Out?

When you go "Line Out" to the mixer the "Master Volume knob" controls the amp volume and the "JC Clean volume" controls the signal to the board.

If you set both volumes at 50% you should hear the amp.

Is the bass knob turned up, you'll have no volume if it's not

thanks everyone for the help!!! after all the trouble shooting something for sure got messed up, maybe it was using the direct out, could have been the ride home in the truck from band practice, who knows, luckily i have a roland repair center a few miles from where I live, I went ahead and dropped it off, hopefully the repair doesn't cost more than the amp is worth haha!!!

on another note, with the roland out of commission Ive been playing my SKH thru a black face reissue deluxe reverb and It sounds pretty damn tough!!!
