For sale, Straight Ahead 500 watt power amp. This is Jay Ganz's great-sounding class D amp. I was skeptical of class D until I got my hands on this, was expecting harsh and sterile, but this amp is anything but. Makes a perfect match for a Sarno preamp.
Only reason for selling is I ended up with two of them and only need one. $200 includes shipping to CONUS. Add 3% for Paypal, or a check in the mail is OK if you're not in a hurry.

This is Jay's earlier model with one speaker jack. It supports speaker loads of 4 ohms or 8 ohms (one 4-ohm speaker, or one 8-ohm speaker, or two 8-ohm speakers wired parallel).
I have two speaker cabinets with 8-ohm speakers. I can use the amp with one cabinet at a time. Or, since one of the cabinets has two parallel-wired jacks, I can plug that one into the amp, and run another speaker cable between the two cabinets, to make the amp see a 4-ohm load. The amp is rated at 500 watts into 4 ohms, or 300 watts into 8 ohms. |
