I'm wondering how much a SICA Neo speaker changed out for the BW would reduce the weight of a NV400? And how it would effect the tone? Can anyone who has done this comment on this? |

10.3 pounds less. SICA Premium, 15" speaker weighs 6.7 pounds.
The premium light, cast frame has less high end than a 1501-4SB. Sounds more like the older 1502-4 speaker.
If you want that Black Widow 1501-4 or JBL type high end it is not the speaker you want.
They used to make a standard light speaker, steel stamped frame from SICA. It had a better high end for the JBL type tone that some want. Can't seem to find it on the site at CED anymore

Sonny , I weighed my NV400 the other day on a set of digital scales and it weighed just over 53 lbs. it has a Black Widow in it. The Black Widow weighs around 18lbs. The Sica weighs less than 7 lbs. Around 6.7 lbs. That would put the NV400 at 42lbs. About the same as a Nashville 112. _________________ Show Pro #26 & #83,BJS bars,Stereo Steel,Tommy Huff cabs loaded with JBL D130's, Wampler pedals,NV112,NV400, Steelers Choice Seats |
