I've found a million wiring diagrams with volume tone complex. All I have are two pickups and a 3-way toggle. I've tried everything and still can't get it to work. I have a 3 way gibson pick (2 posts on one end and 3 on the other). Everyone says bend the side with the two posts together and hook that to hot. Then each pickup hot will go to either side of the 3 way post. No bueno, no matter what it won't switch. It just makes them all hot.

If it's a good SPDT center-on switch, wire the two grounds to the sleeve.
Take the output from the center lug of the switch, and the two hot pickup leads go to the outside lugs of the switch.
If this is not accomplishing switching, check the switch with a multimeter

Although some of what you're writing isn't quite making sense to me, so I'm mentally editing it.
Some pictures might help.
