Is Zum Steel out of business, or just a long waiting list or what?
Got a chance to play one a couple of weeks ago for the first time, WoW, what a wonderful feel and tone.

Bruce retired about 2 years ago. I think He still does some trouble shooting for his former customers. Bruce is a great man, hated to see him retire, but everyone has to slow down sometime.

I have been looking for a local Zum for awhile now (don't trust shipping companies)
You are right...next to a PP, they have the best tone of any steel. I'm sorry I ever sold my D-10.

Hi Rich,
Zum's on a lot of minds now and they usually leave off the forum's for sale list real quickly.
Yes I'd agree they are ver close in tone to a PP but a lot less hassle to work on.
Saw what looks like a nice Zum S-10 on the list now for a few days.
Guess most people want the D-10's and the SD-10 because it still there after a few days.
You had one and sold it, Guess I'd regret that too.
Lucky to have my 11 year old Star Guitar in Saigon as well as a Promat D-10 that is now all adjusted and just needing a little more work as well as the new Mullen I ordered arriving here 3 weeks ago.
Don't need another steel, but if I saw a nice Zum SD-10 pop up and have the cash look out!
Good luck
Andy

Thanks for the info. No wonder I couldn't find a current website for Zum.
