Google search hasn't helped figure this out, so I thought I'd try here. For the last week or two or maybe more, every YouTube video I open has (129) in front of the title. For example, instead of saying "YouTube Video" it says "(129) YouTube Video". Any idea what could be causing this? |

Nobody else is seeing this? This is on my 64 bit Windows 10 PC and the newest Chrome Version 58.0.3029.81 (64-bit). |

Neither my up-to-date Firefox nor latest Chrome sees this on a 32 bit Windows 10 . |

Thanks Jon! It's weird that I can't find anything with Google search. Here's a partial screenshot.

In case anyone else stumbles onto this, I finally found the answer!
Per this Google product post: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/youtube/-NlCunvrbqw "It's apparently yet another unannounced change made by Google/ YouTube and the numbers in the brackets in the browsers tab apparently indicate how many comments/ posts you currently have on YouTube which you have not yet read/ checked..."
Weirdly, when I clicked on the bell icon on the side for notifications none showed, but the number in the title bar immediately went away. |

If you don't make comments on YouTube videos, you'll never see it. I comment rarely and get email notifications on replies. When I get a notification, I almost always go back to YouTube to remember the context. As a result, I never have any unread comments.
Where things like that really get annoying is in bookmarks. The number is part of the page title, and your browser remembers that long after the title of the page has changed. I have a gmail bookmark that always says inbox(2) even when my inbox is empty. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |
