I have not used the GP8, but my GP100 is very nice. I have several pieces of Roland equipment and all of it has been very good.

As I recall, the GP8 does not have reverb. All the other effects are basically Boss stomp boxes.
It would work for steel, maybe a bit of a hassle with menus. |

Roland GP-100 is my favorite rack processor. Originally priced around $1,200 and they stopped making them in 1995. You can often pick these up used for $150. Not crazy about the Preamp COSM models but it's OK. The reverbs and delays are rich and warm. 200 user and 200 factory presets and I use 4 or 5. Go figure👌 |
