Good Morning,

Here's a beautiful version of an old George Jones song for you:

I don’t know? But that was a top-notch musician on steel. Just fabulous playing! Judging by the tone he was getting my guess is Mike Johnson on steel. I can’t wait for the answer! Thanks for sharing that one!

I would say it's the Great Lloyd Green with Laura Cash on vocals.

I woke up middle of the night and listened to this. I did not recognize the vocalist, but I thought the steel sure sounded like the great Lloyd Green.

This is a terrific combination of wonderful vocal delivery/quality and steel. One of the best I've heard in a long, long time.

Thanks for posting it Walt...and all the others. I really enjoy these clips.

Jerry,

Here is Lloyd Playing a tune, at the St. Louis Steel Convention, that helped make Charlie Pride famous.

Here is another tune played by Lloyd that Faron Young made popular some years ago.

Oh yeah Roger. I'm hip to these tunes. Good stuff. I saw Lloyd a bunch o times in St. Louis and on some of Jeff Newman's events.

One of, if not the most, soulful pedal steel guitar players in the world ever.
