That, right there, is a very significant statement! She must be an extremely fine musician and I can't wait to see what she does with a steel guitar! Smile

Welcome, RJ!

As you probably know, Bobby Flores can help a whole bunch in the learning process! Have seen Bobby at the Wild Horse Prairie Days rodeo in Haskell. And he is something else on steel, fiddle, and vocals, too. Super musician!

R.J. and I have spent many a mile together with Bobby and the Yellow Rose band. R.J. is a fine musician and should do well on the steel. Welcome to the forum, R.J.!

Hey RJ

A great fiddle player on her way to being a great steel player.

We met you on Bobby Flores's cruises and we have your CD...'Living My Dream' and we REALLY recommend it to everyone. 'Don't You Ever Get Tired of Hurting Me' is my personal favorite.

Hope to see you in the near future.

RJ From South Carolina? No way....

If she plays the steel like she does the fiddle, the rest of us need to toss our picks

Good to see you on here. Must have been my poor playing at band camp that inspired you lol...Maybe Jody Camerons FINE playing?

Either way, Good to see another South Carolinian playing steel and a member on here.

Charley

Welcome RJ. Pedal steel is a great instrument and a bit less of a challenge for someone who already has a solid musical background. Lots of information and friendly people here to help with your new adventure. Enjoy
