RISGA President Jim Rice has lost his loving wife. They were together for 33 years. Sadly, Ruth Rice passed away on wednesday, June 7, 2017 after battling cancer. She was his early steel guitar inspiration, having bought him his first steel many years ago. Jim and his son Jake are a very welcome part of RISGA. We pray that the Rice family has the strength to carry on.

Thank you to all of you who offered your support at this very difficult time for our family.

A very special thank you to the RISGA club members for sending the beautiful flowers and making the long journey up to be with us at the services. You can't imagine how much it meant to me and Jake to have you there to honor my best friend and my biggest steel guitar fan. This is why I love my steel guitar buddies - they are true friends in time of need.

Hope to see you all real soon.
