Her is another video of a gospel group I play music with. The tenor singing is James Daniels and the group is The Vessels. They are a family group with really good harmonies. They even let me take a ride starting about 1:48 into the song. It is just simple and straight and it was recorded in a gym with a little bounce.

Paul,

Great work! You, my friend, are one great steel player.

I also enjoyed some of the other videos you had posted on your website. The Emmons LLIII sounds great as well.

Keep up the good work!

Don

Thank you Don for such kind words. Great is too strong a word for me playing steel. The last videos of the gospel singing groups I have really enjoyed. Playing behind good singing and playing is a big help. As far as my Emmons goes, I sure enjoy it.

I really like your playing on that song Paul. Your lead singer really has great voice. I also like how you and the piano took turns on the different verses that doesn’t always happen in a group.

Thanks guys for the kind words. The singer is James Daniels. He pastors a church and does not sing as much. The piano player is his uncle Lee Sturgeon and the other singer is Daniel Sturgeon. Missing was Clint Sturgeon. These men are great to okay music with. Yes, Lee knows how to play fills and back out. Unfortunately, we play out once or twice a year.

I failed to mention a couple guys. Our drummer is Brent Gregg who can sing pretty good as well. The bass player is Daniel Hines who has his own gospel group. The lead guitar players name I have forgot but he plays in the group with the Hines Family. All these men are fantastic musicians and great guys to be around.
