I have a number of tube amps with speaker outputs listed as 4 ohm, 8ohm and 16ohm. All my Fender amps have a speaker output with no listing for ohm output. So, if I use one 8 ohm speaker or a 4ohm speaker it still sounds good.

Any insight?

I believe Fender combo amps with a single speaker are "8" ohm, and dual speakers are "4" ohm. Not sure about the four speaker models, as all I have are one or two speaker models.
