Has anyone had any dealings with Johnny Up (John Shadid) in Oklahoma City?

I had contacted him about taking an online lesson because I liked the way he approached teaching in his YouTube videos.

We set up a date for a Skype lesson and I prepaid for the lesson with PayPal (even though he !Old me I could wait till after the lesson to pay).

Well, Tuesday @ 5:30 came and went and I never heard from him. Couldn't get him to answer a call, text, Facebook messenger ... Nothing.

Kept trying to contact him with no luck. Then I asked for a refund for my $40 and within minutes got a reply saying his dad had had an accident at the time of our lesson etc etc. he offered to refund but I actually still was interested in taking lessons from him so we rescheduled for April 4 (Tuesday of this week).
Well you guessed it. 5:30 came and went and no call, text or message. In fact I still can't get him to reply or answer a call.

At this point, if anyone is an aquaintance of his, Please tell him to make an effort to contact me. I'm at the point now of filing a claim against him for fraud.

I understand that things come up and things happen. But at some point you have to grow up and be an adult.

So fair warning. I would advise anyone not to do business with him.
