Just heard Willie's new song off the to be released album, and was wondering who played the great steel guitar on the track posted below. I checked Allmusic.com, but they hadn't listed the credits yet.

Willie keeps belting it out!!

New album is entitled "God's Problem Child" and will be released on 4/28/17. Four cuts off of it are available on Apple Music and a few other places right now however.

Thanks Ricky,

I'm really looking forward to this new album, seems to be a throwback to his earlier days from the few songs I've heard, and I'm super psyched that he has the great Mike Johnson playing front and center, hopefully the rest of the songs are similar.

one of the last giants of country music... I get very sad thinking about what are we going to be left with in the next 5- 10 years ... already today most of what is coming out of main stream Nashville is pure garbage... I can not even imagine what it's gonna be like in a few years from now... I was just driving by Grand Ole Opry another day, looking at the big neon sign announcing the stars of the next show...I did not ever heard of any of them before... I remember when they would't accept Elvis to the Opry, because he wasn't country enough, and look at this circus today... sad Sad

I went and heard a buddy play guitar at the local V.F.W. and Moose Lodge a couple of weeks ago, and I gotta say that was a treat seeing couples on dance floor who have been buckle rubbing for decades.
I'm missing the old dance halls where you'd pay the entrance fee, find a table and park whatever people were drinking on the table.
Here in Vermont, for me, it was: Warner's Dance Hall, The Charlemont, and Cole's Pond.
People felt responsible for each other, and after a long day of haying on the farm, seeing and talking with community members made for a stronger and more fun community.
Nowadays, all this being "connected" and staring at a screen kinda blows.
