Hey everybody, I've got a 10 string ..
E13 looks like a good choice. I've gotten some suggestions,
How would YOU set it up? In C , G ? I know I'd have to make my own transcripts, wish to do all kinds of music, in a chord melody sort of way...
1. - gauge?
2. ----
3. etc...
It would be nice to stop chasing the mythical tuning..

Great to have you on board.

To make things simple I'll post my string set on my Blog with E13 setup so its easily found. Rather than in a forum post.

Since I'm just learning and want to play some Hank Williams I'm using Don Helms book which uses this tuning.

Webb- nice to know I'm not alone! Now if I could find all the chords you're finding!

I made a chord chart somewhere. Not sure where it is, but I'll post it if I can find it. I think including slants you can get something like 27 different chord if you include partials off of one fret.

I'm interested. I may be missing some voicings so would be good to have a look. Really interested in having a look.

I just got my Eddie Alkire E-harp 10 string form good friend Andy DePaule.
I set it up the same way as my pedal steel and its great for PSG practice as well as working out songs, slants and theory.

1 G#
2 F#
3 E
4 C#
5 B
6 G#
7 F#
8 E
9 D
10 B

Intuitive and fun to play!

Webb,

Put me down for one too, if you ever find it.
