The worlds shortest short story in two sentences.

"It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play the violin." That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.

-Richard Brautigan
from Revenge of the Lawn, 1974

You may substitute Banjo if it's more to your liking.

aaah, Brautigan, one of my favorites. Too bad he took the Hemingway-way out in his cabin.

Speaking of short stories, I once took a college course in literature. The professor had us reading many different styles of writing, i.e. Hemmingway, Tolstoy, Dickens, etc. After months of reading many various authors, the professor instructed us to write a paper, using these different styles of writing. He also said that our finished paper must include the following: Religion, Mystery, Royalty, and Sex. After about 5 minutes I handed him my finished paper, which I had written on a 5 x 7 index card. The professor's jaw dropped, and he said, "There is no way you could have finished your paper in that short amount of time". But I did! My paper read as follows: "Oh my God, said the Queen, I'm pregnant. I wonder who did it?".

"Oh my God, said the Queen, I'm pregnant. I wonder who did it?".

Great opening lyric! Finish the song!
