Yes, Infinity is really the best guitar I have ever owned. I played a Franklin D10 for 14 years, owned a G2, ShowPro, Emmons P/P and SKH, and a few others. This guitar is king for me. Infinity is no longer made and this is the last one ever built. _________________ I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you

The tone is very clear and punchy, similar to my Franklin but without the tuning issues and cabinet drop that guitar had. I would say very P/P sounding _________________ I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you

The switch mounted in the undercarriage, is that a neck selector or tone control switch? One of the best looking undercarriages and well planned builds, I've ever seen. Thanks. |

It was an extravagance, but I'm really glad I got mine when I did.
The switch is to select necks, btw. |

I'm fortunate to own one as well, and agree it's a very special instrument. When I was trying to have Frank build me one, he politely declined , multiple times.
As I recall, he didn't want to have the pressure of the deadlines that come with taking and filling orders for guitars.
He told me he wanted to spend more time playing steel, and less time making them.
For those like me who couldn't get Frank to make one for them, I understood and respected his decision. It was a real pleasure getting to know Frank , he's a cool hang, and he knows his stuff.
He never did make me one , I was fortunate to find one used. Frank set it up for me to perfection. Truly a great guy to deal with.
I'm wondering if he was concerned with making a guitar affordable for us working musicians, which could be flipped for a profit if that was someone's motive. If I was a builder , I would be annoyed by that. That being said, I won't be "flipping" mine. |

I too love my Infinity. Currently the best steel I've ever owned, and I've owned many.
I have long felt, and still feel, that the Infinity will become the Franklin guitar of the future... a superior instrument built in smaller numbers by a master craftsman that will command a premium resale price. And I told Frank that very thing, and that I've no intention of parting with mine. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

The only thing better than Frank's guitars is his playing. I loved the jams where he and I played. Great guy. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, NV400, NV112 . Playing for 54 years and still counting. |

I could not agree more with everyone's sentiment. My Infinity will never be for sale so I guess it's not worth anything. Like others, I have owned and played a ton of steels and this one is king in my book, it really just doesn't get any better than this.
Yes the switch under the guitar is for the neck selector. Frank does not like drilling a hole in perfectly good body for reason.
Above all else, Frank Carter is a gentleman and true craftsman that will sweat out every single detail till it is perfect and no more can be done to improve it.
Long live the Steel Guitar! _________________ I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you
