Yeah, my wife and daughter were gonna head up to granny's house in vermont, but bagged it, since they were gonna head home on Tuesday in the thick of it.

Dallas looks better and better, I'm headed to Lubbock, TX next month with my daughter to check out school, hopefully it warms up here by then.

Ah yes. Chins up with puffy cheeks, glazed over eyes, bottles of booze in the background, all epitomize the world of steel guitar.
Reassuring to see some things never change.

I'm hoping John B. will call me from the Dallas show.
I'm sure it's full tilt steel!

Well had a great time in Dallss but had to head home early. My wife decided the only way to stop me from buying a new steel and amp was to have an appendicitis while I was in Dallas! Didn't work LOL...

BTW, she is ok and we will bring her home in the morning. God is good

I also had the pleasure of meeting Mike & Wayne.
I knew who they were & knew of them but it was great to finally meet them.

We were in the Telonics "Cave" & they were so nice.
I asked Wayne the differences between the early Rittenberry guitars & the Rittenberry Prestige.
Since we had a Rittenberry LTD in the room & he had the prototype Prestige,
he gladly flipped them both over & showed me the differences -
so nice of him to take the time to do that for someone he had just met.

They had to leave early & we all understood & glad to hear Mike's wife is doing OK..

Thanks You Mike & Wayne !!
Ron

Hey All, Just got home from the Dallas Show. Had a great time hanging with some of you. It was a great SHOW. Very good crowd and lots of vendors. Saw lots of old friends and made new ones. Great country music as only in Texas. Great steel playing by many such as Junior Knight, Buck Reed, Tommy Dodd, Jody Cameron, JayDee Maness along with Tony Booth and my favorite Sarah Jory. The gal has such good tone and stage presence and delivery it just blows me away.I have been a fan of hers since she was 13 years old and her first trip to Scotty's in St.Louis. It all was a BLAST, J.R.

Amen brother Rose. She is a sweetheart. Incredible performer. Huge tone. We saw her at the elevator and asked for a photo with the two grandkids. Big hugs for each of us and a good little visit. Even answered a couple of gearhead questions for me.
