Can anyone help with the wiring process going from the original single coil to the 705 in my 2001 Zum? Any help much appreciated!!! _________________ ZUM Steel D10, Rittenberry S10, Walker Stereo Steel, Quilter Steelaire, Hilton volume, SGBB |

Are you wanting a dedicated humbucker, or will you be hiding a switch to take you to single coil mode?
Either way, the white wire is the hot wire and goes to either the tip of the output jack or the neck selector switch (you didn't say how many necks you have).
The Black wire and the braid go to the sleeve of the output jack.
Twist the red and green wires together and either:
Tape them off so they'll never cause mischief (if you want a dedicated humbucker), or (I recommend this, because that pickup has a great Bakersfield twang in single coil mode);
Solder them to one side of a simple SPST switch, with the other side going to ground. When the switch is open (or off), it's a humbucker; when it's closed, one coil shorts to ground and it's, as they say in German, Stürm und Twang. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

If you want the switch, I'd put it on an angle bracket screwed to the inside of the rear apron.
Also, because doublenecks share a common ground, and some other interactions I'm not thinking of, if you want to switch the modes and you have a doubleneck, I think each neck needs its own mode switch _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Hey, I found the paper that came with the pickup, it says the red is the hot and the green and white get wired together . The white makes more sense to me, any thoughts?

If you do it one way, the coils are in parallel, and if you do it the other way, they're in series.
Both ways are humbuckers. I don't think there's a real way to tell the two apart with a multimeter.
And the method I shared was off the Wilde pickups website (where Bill and Becky went after the eastern European dude did his thing, although the nature of his thing is apparently still a matter of dispute). _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

I put a 705 in my BMI last year guitar sounded crazy had white as hot wire. A dealer that has sold many 705's said red was positive he rewired it. It worked perfect then.
