Start with master volume all the way up
Usually run the gain about 3 or 4.
Bass/low: just below where it goes "woofy", usually between 4 o'clock and 5 o'clock
Mid and shift work together to establish the "flavor". They'll usually sound best pointing opposite each other: usually somewhere around 10 o'clock for the mids and 2 o'clock for the shift, although some like 2 and 10.
High and presence usually go just a bit past noon.
As the mid and shift work on the "flavor", the Hogh/Treble tends to make it more or less "bright", and the presence is an "ultra-high" adding an "edge" to the brightness. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Thanks Lane . I will try this. On the shift knob there is a small dial in the center of the big dial . Do you know what this is or where it should be set ?? Again thanks. |

I think the outer knob is the mid, and the inner knob is the shift. Outer knob-10 o'clock, inner knob, 2.
Been a while since I've played a Vegas, but all the Peaveys are pretty consistent. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
