He is an amazing player of just about anything from what I have observed.
He is the guy that got me building cigar box guitars a few years back.
Funny thing was mine never quite sounded like his........ Rolling Eyes

The only drawback is to use the bass, you're pretty much locked to one key, unless you add some hipshots or some way to tune the strings. Maybe some kind of capo...

Actually, "Wayfaring Stranger" is an old folk song, which predates "Summertime" quite a bit. I had never noticed the similarity.

I thought Summertime was in the 30's and Wayfaring stranger the 40's

Thank you Joe, I'm getting on a bit now, 76 this year and looking forward to Spring, Summer & Autumn Camping trips to get more of those photos. I have organized my Camper a bit better so that I can take a Guitar & recording equipment to pass long evenings.
