It's been a while since my last post, but here is a useful counterpoint if you have a copedent with the 4th string whole tone raise.

... not to mention the 5th string whole tone lower. So Peter, if you only have a normal C pedal and no Franklin, how do you do it then? Just wondering Smile

That's a good also Pete. I can here it in my mind, but it may be a littler harder to substitute if you don't have a double lower on 6. When you get out of the pocket, they sometime lose the original phrasing. Still I like trying to play your "Licks & Tricks".

As you all can see and hear, the notes are all the same in the examples above. In the first example you can play the first three notes with striking the strings just once. That will give a slightly different approach to it. Useful to me, but unfortunately it takes a bit of acrobatics, at least on my guitar.
