I just wanted to say hi. I started playing dobro back in 2013 after picking up an old guitar from Antebellum while trading a Tenor Guitar. Since then I upgraded to a modern dobro (Gretsch bobtail) and have picked up on Weissenborns (Got a great Lazy River from Rance White in 2014 and now a Bear Creek from Bill Hardin just last year). I'll probably be an amateur hobbyist forever, but I'm always looking to learn and improve. As long as I can find the time...

Having lurked on here for a long while, I am happy to get more involved and perhaps pick the brains of some of you terrific players.

In any case, hello!

Welcome to the group Jeff.
I am also an amateur hobbyist but it helps keep me sane.
I also play lap steel and have a Weissenborn.
Well, sort of. Mostly self taught.
A lot of smart folks in here who are glad to help anyone.
Don't hesitate to jump in.
We're mostly ugly but harmless and friendly.......
