A Telecaster is an unpainted canvas.😎 I inserted custom manufactured and imprinted yo yo's into this Fender Telecaster. I sanded off the Fender logo on the head stock and had a Yo Caster decal made.

Hangs on my studio wall and is further proof I have way too much time on my hands🤓

Hey Len. I've been trying to reach you through an earlier post both PM and email. Not sure either is working. Give me a call/text when you have time.

Thanks.

Perhaps you were inspired by the Carl Perkins tune You Got The Right String Baby But The Wrong Yo-yo?

Cool

The Telecaster lends itself to just about any type of decoration you can put it on... Here's my favorite Tele that I picked up at the factory when I lived in SoCal in the fall of '82... It's served me well and I'll never get rid of it.. It has the following "upgrades".........JH in Va.

Parsons/White B-Bender installed in Fairfax, Vs. in '05
Rolling G-Bender I installed myself, they're made in Conneticutt I believe
Keith/Scruggs banjo tuners on strings 1 & 5
HipShot D-tuner at the headstock on low E string
3 mini toggles for on/off of the pickups
Pull-Pot volume control for phase switch.
GFS humbucker at neck which is tapped with a mini switch between the volume and tone control..
Reversed control plate.
Custom? pickguard(s) I made with my scroll saw
Graphite string trees installed side by side for bending strings behind the nut...

All in all it's a one of a kind Tele and there's no amount of money could buy it.........JH in Va.

That guitar makes a lot more sense when you know about Len's history with Yomega yo-yo's. Surprised

The Borgward Isabella cars. I've seen quite a few of them on the road when I was a boy. They always impressed me.

I made the custom yo yo's that are in the Yo Caster. The Borgward that Joachim refers to is a German car made from 1953-1964. It also happens to be the first car I owned that my dad bought me in 1966. Thanks dad, miss you❤

Hi Joachim,

Yes, the original Borgward my dad bought me was a 1960 Isabella. All the Borgward cars had the same body style from 1953-1964. About 8 years ago, I stated looking for another Borgward to relive my teenage years driving that car. LOL...BTW, my dad paid $200 for the car in 1966😁

I found this totally restored Borgward owned by a German fellow in Long Beach, CA as he was a member of the Borgward Club. He had 4 Borgward cars including a station wagon and a 2 seat sport Isabella. He did not want to sell any of the cars but after hearing my story of my dad buying me the Isabella and my wanting to relive my teenage years at age 60 he sold me the 1957 Borgward in the picture. The picture was taken the day the car was delivered to me in Massachusetts from California.

My Borgward was completely restored with original factory parts. I only drive her in nice weather and go to antique car shows in the summer. Many people stop to look at her and I am more than glad to tell them the story of the car my dad bought me👍

You were lucky Len. The seller must have known how you would cherish this car.
