The Sho~Bud pickups on my 1974 Pro III are amazing. Lots of output and tone. But being used to the incredible musicality ãnd balanced tone of ZB Guitars what I really want is a mix of the Sho~Bud's 2 different coil taps.

The full tap has a tremendous amount of mid range and bass, making it very full at no expense of the treble and quick response. But the other tap has a really nice treble spank and cut. The perfect thing would be not a switch between the 2, as offered by the factory, but a mix control. Even better would be a stereo output with both outputs.

Would that work electronically?

Stereo would be easy, I don't know enough to know about a blend.
If you have a stereo volume pedal with TRS (I suppose you could do separate cables but that'd involve drilling another jack hole), I'd run ground to sleeve, tap to ring, and full pickup to tip.
I suspect you can probably find a stacked audio taper pot to convert a regular pedal to stereo, but you'd have to move everything around to make it fit.

I think no need to drill another hole. Replace the mono jack with a stereo one and use a Y cord for output.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I think I would like to add a switch that either keeps the existing mono switching or toggles in a stereo output. Even if stereo outputs are used, sometimes when playing you want simplicity.
