Thanks to everyone who made last weekend so much fun. It was so nice to get back to a steel show again, and be surrounded by a community that really loves the instrument like I do.

Thanks to Fred Justice for inviting me to play.
Thanks to Kevin Ryan for asking me to be a part of his seminar, which was a blast.
Thanks to Paul Haaker for driving me around and loading his truck up with gear for me to use.

Thanks to everyone who came down Saturday night and caught my set. It was quite adventurous. Ha!

I made some new friendships that I'm sure will be long lasting, and had an awesome time. Cheers!

Travis, your detailed explanation of what you're doing with your modern brand of pick blocking was exactly what I've been hunting for, thanks for illuminating all of us seminar attendees. It was fun to watch you discover things about your own playing you never realized or had articulated before. That's the big fun of teaching, discoveries we make as we teach!

Really dug your set, too!

It was such a pleasure to meet you, visit and to learn a little bit about you.
Great job and you are welcome at SWSGA anytime.

Hey Travis,
You played a great set, and it was a hard act for me to have to follow your set. It took me a couple of songs to get the jitters out of my fingers. By the way, thanks for letting me have the videos Paul took of your set. I've already listened to them many times. See you later.

Travis,

Great playing!! Enjoyed your set while attending the show. You play with a flair that is innovative and stylishly performed. Hope you can make it to the Dallas show in March.

Look forward to catching your next performance!

Thanks,

Charley

Thanks so much for the kind words guys. I had a blast playing, and it was just really great for me to get to be at a steel show in any capacity again after so many years. Looking forward to hopefully getting to some more in the near future.

I actually type this from Mobile, where I'm getting on the steel guitar cruise tomorrow. 🚢
Gonna be fun!
