Anyone use Nashville 400 and 1000 amps with dobro? I am trying to use them with my dobro. Any ideas on settings?

I play my dobro through an acoustic guitar amp "as God intended." 😉 So I can't help you but I'm thinking for those who might be able to help you, it would be a big help knowing what kind of pickup you have in your dobro.

I found that the very thing that makes the Nashville series so popular in the steel guitar world made it unsatisfactory for use as my dobro amp. It sounded way too harsh for my personal taste. Tried to dial it in. No joy for me.

I opted for an end-to-end Fishman solution and use the Loudbox Artist, acoustic instrument amp. Couldn't be happier.

It is a factory installed pickup in a "dobro", by Gibson, built about 1995 or 96. That's really about the best I can do. Not sure how to find out the pickup maker as I cannot see it. But, great advice on the acoustic amp though. Or I guess I could go old school and mic it...

I appreciate it guys. Thank you.
