A number of years back, I walked into a club on Lower Broadway and Danny Mohammed was playing steel with a six string guitar in his lap. When it came time for the guitar solo, Danny, in a split second, flung his bar into a towel that was on the key head of the steel and play the daylights out of the guitar. I was blown away by his musicianship and willingness to play the part of steel player and guitar player. One can only hope that he got two fifths of the tip jar |

Happened to be in Nashville this week and went down to Broadway rather late, caught Danny Mohammed on steel at Robert's Western World just before 2AM or so. Band usually closes with "Hold It" Danny said he would have thrown in some extra stuff if you had known I was filming. Band having a good time on a Wednesday night.
So Video will start out with "She's Feeling Single", "Hold it" will kick off midway in video.
Don't know if you can read Danny's Hat -- beautiful touch CMA with the words "Country My Ass".

I got the privilege to watch Danny play on a James Mitchell instrumental session. He played his P/P on some of the songs and sounded amazing. He is such a great player and friendly person. I didn't read the fine print on his hat.....that is funny. I also got to hear him at the Bell Cove one night when he was filling in for Jim Vest. I got to have my picture taken with him.Great player and down to earth guy.
