I had a DVD and CD of this. I loaned it to my Dad and on his passing, one of them was lost. This is wonderful music. My buddies Chad and Reggie Rueffer were bass and fiddle, Ron Stafford was steel on his Rains, Spigner (Charlie Prides drummer) was the drummer. I think Gene Watsons keyboard man was on it. I may have some of this wrong, but this is the best I remember. It was from a TV show called Texas County Line with soap opra star from Snyder , Tx Brad Maul. Jerry Webb is an architect from Tolar, Tx (somewhere between Stephenville and Ft Worth) and he wrote some of these songs. This gig had an aura to it that just sends chills up my spine. Texas Honkey tonk music at it's very best. |

This is very good!!! It sends chills up my spine too to hear the audience getting excited about the music. This is the kind of country music that inspires me to keep playing.

Over the years I've worked with all of them with the exception of Ron. They are all extremely talented guys who live and breathe the Traditional Honky Tonk sound.
Ron is one of the nicest, most down to Earth people you'd ever meet as well as a monster steel player. He also is a very good six stringer and he sings pretty dang good too. _________________ Cops aren't paid much so I steel at night. |

The steel player don't leave much room for error with that tone. The Franklin I bought from Hal Rugg had a tone much like that. The Lawrence pickup growl anyway. _________________ Bill |

Wow!!!! Very enjoyable. This and the Redd Volkaert / Jim Murphy at the Austin airport are the best things I have heard in quite some time. |
