Buddy's touch and tone are legendary but I noticed a thumbnail with Bill Ferguson doing that song and after watching it I have say what a great job he did also. _________________ Cops aren't paid much so I steel at night. |

Thank you for the kind words Dick.
Right after that song came out, Buddy was kind enough to show me a couple of the signature licks.
Johnny Bush was going to sing this with me when I played the ISGC in 2010, but while there his voice completely gave out.
He sent word to me through his main man, Justin Griffith, that I was the only one (other than Buddy) that played it right. I don't know about that, because I have heard others work with Bush that knocked it out of the park.
It is still one of my favorite songs to play and I do it as an instrumental on many shows.
Here is my video of the first time I played it on a show with my friend Jerry Braswell singing for me.
Includes the late Johnny Thomas and Woody Ledford on guitars, Roy Rosetta on keys, Wayne Smith on bass and Dixie Hankins on drums.
No better band could you ask for.
