The show hasn't beened aired since 2014?
Anyone have an idea if they are returning? Gary Carter is an exceptional player.

I heard Marty up and left the show earlier this year, but I don't know the circumstances. (He's still working, though.) Gary's staying busy, playing the 'Opry two or three times a week, and doing lots of recording work in his home studio. He may also be doing some personal appearances with Connie Smith.

Reruns notwithstanding, it would be really nice if RFD-TV (and/or Marty) would be more forthcoming about this issue...

The reruns the last year or so I can't hear the steel. I see Gary playing but can't hardly hear? Used to hear it fine.

Did Tommy give up the Opry gig? Just curious.

I've heard all sorts of different stories about Marty's show. From its not coming back to he is working on some new ideas. I loved it and watched every week so I'd like to see it come back someday especially since Marty has a new band member, Chris Scruggs.

I'd like to see it 60 minutes long, instead of 30. It's too short!

Anyone know if RFD is available as an app for Apple TV? I don't believe Comcast offers RFD in any package, and many months ago RFD told me they were working on that.

I had heard Paul Martin wanted to leave to pursue his family band with wife and kids. Don't know if that had any effect on it.

Last I knew, Comcast had replaced RFD-TV with Al-Jazeera. Then, more recently Al Jazeera disappeared. Bottom line, still no respect for RFD-TV on Comcast.... Oh Well IMO, the worst company of it's type on the planet in more ways than this..

Hi Barry! I just checked RFD's site, it says RFD for Apple TV is coming soon, but they told me that in an email almost a year ago. I'll probe for more details and let ya know what I find out.

I remember seeing a Porter Wagoner show, who had Brothers (can't remember their Names now) They did a song called "Thanks To Women's Liberation, We Are No Longer Free". It played the one time. I went in later to try and find it, cause I had never heard it before, and it had been taken off, and band from YOUTUBE. I think it was the Bellame Brothers.

I have seen,RFD has replaced Marty Stuart with old reruns of the Jimmy Dean Show. From 1963.
Alot of cable companies have dropped RFD and Family Net. I went back to satellite with Dish. RFD has an Opry Encore in their new lineup. At least I still get to see TruCountry.

Country music is being replaced everywhere, except Texas, and Europe. Looks like we'll have to move. By the way John. I'm going up to Staples tomorrow and see about getting the stuff to do the lessons. Some of the tings, I don't even know what they are. hahaha Computer ignorant.

I watched the Jimmy Dean show Saturday night. The only Country act he had was Roy Clark, it was more like NEW YORK City variety show. Rosemary Clooney, Al Hirt , and Jim Henson and the Muppets. I am not trying to say anything bad about the Big Apple. But even back in the 1960s, network execs were attempting to dictate what Country was. And they're still doing it today.

Google rfd tv and then clic on the schedule. It will give the programming for your time zone. The Marty Stuart show has been moved from Sun nite in my area and replaced with the Opry Encore. This is a good show. The one that was on this past Sun was a 1997 taping. Weldon Myrick was the steel player. According to the program schedule the next show will have Earnie Ashworth and Ray Price on it.

You can join the RFD Country Club for $90 a year and stream via your computer any show anytime you want. I played on an RFD show this past year with Joey Canyon and Dean Miller and this was the only way I could see it in Colorado...love watching Mike Johnson on the Reunion show...
