Today I was watching a video of a Branson steel show and as part of his set Tom Brumley played Steel Guitar Rag and Panhandle rag on his lap steel. If you closed your eyes you would swear it was Jerry Byrd ! Scotty was at the show and mentioned how close his tone was, as was the arrangement! I had forgotten how good he was on pedal as well as non-pedal...wow...what a player ! And he was always so humble...RIP ..we lost him wayyy too early in his life !
