Hello Folks. I'm not posting this in the "for sale" section as I'm selling it locally, buyer to pick up. I'm just wondering what a fair ball-park asking price (or range) would be.

Thank you.
George

Might check with forum member Michael Butler. He shows several old Gibson amps in his Snakeskin's Virtual Museum. Probably a pretty good source for value.

Thanks Jerry, not familiar with that, but I'll definitely check it out. Have a great day.

Maybe wasn't clear. Michael doesn't list values on his site, but he might be able to advise you on your amp's worth if you PM or e him...or he might see your post. JO.

I bought one at the 12 Fret in great working condition, thought showing a little more wear, for $500, two years ago.

Looks great, wish it was for sale in my neighborhood, it would make a great blues harp amp.

thanks, jerry!

george: best i can tell of the age of the amp, it looks to be around 1948-54. you can pinpoint it more via the numbers on the pots,or,if original speaker, on the speaker.

it looks to be in good condition so depending upon the above, may want to ask around the $550 point. i looked in the vintage guitar price guide as well as reverb.com.

yours looks to have a replaced handle and, has the single off/on/volume knob with no tone control. i can't see the speaker to see what kind and what age it is. should be a 10" jensen but, may be a cts.

these are very good sounding amps using the older 6sn7, 6sj7 and 6sq7 type preamp tubes. you'll get a great clean sound until 7 or 8, then you'll get some breakup.

yes, this would be a great harp amp with about 12 watts.

hope this helps.
