Greg Lake, 1/3 of the phenominal ultra supergroup "Emerson, Lake & Palmer", died on Dec. 7 after a bout with cancer. Greg was the best singer in the history of rock, a phenominal bass player & guitarist, and superlative songwriter. ELP has been my #1 favorite band since '73 when I got the chance to see one of their spectacular concerts at Madison Square Garden. They had no equals & were so far above any of their peers in sheer musicianship & bombast. He will be sorely missed.

That's bad news... And not even a year after losing Keith Emerson.
