A very clean 8 + 4 guitar - all original with the exception of the pickups (George L's) and the fretboards (replacements from Tom Bradshaw). Both changers as well as pull rods, cranks etc. have recently been removed, cleaned, lubricated and reinstalled (Emmons setup). Overall, the finish is in good shape - just a couple of small imperfections on the front apron. Includes a brand new Hatton custom split-case with wheels ($400 value and much easier on your back!). Asking $2300 - price includes shipping and insurance to lower 48

For the plates behind changer tail piece.
I've seen that a handful of times; and it was ALWAYS to hide the very small crack in the wood of that very small area of wood behind the changer. It is very common for shobuds' to develope a hairline crack and it has NO affect on the pedal steel guitar at all. So the cool silver plate is more of a cosmetic thing....I even had a cool engraving on one once so long ago that I forget what was engraved..ha...but it was cool.
No worries on that.

Thanks for that info Ricky. I removed the plates and sure enough, there is a hairline crack behind the changer tail piece on the E9 neck only. The crack is along the grain and I actually didn't see it at first. I agree that the plates give a nice finished look back there - engraving them would be very cool!

| Craig, I am not certain which model the pickups are - they were in place when I got the guitar and there isn't the recessed lettering designating the model like some have (let me know if there is another way to identify). As far as George L's go, I have the most experience with an EON, but I hesitate to compare tone since that was installed in a GFI S-10. If you twisted my arm, I would say that the EON was brighter with more bite, and these are more mellow and fat sounding. Again though, very different guitars. |

| Jason I only ask because I once had a Pro 2 like yours right down to the crack by the changer. I sold it years ago and wondered if it had turned up again. Yours is one of my favorite models. |

| I like it as well, and I am really debating whether or not I should just keep it. I thought I should sell because I recently got a more modern D-10, but it definitely doesn't have the same mojo. |

Chris is right. Glad you are keeping it. IMHO, the "barrel behind 2-hole puller system" does have great mojo!!
I owned an 73 ShoBud LDG with that undercarriage hardware.
