Has any Forum member installed a Telonics pick-up in a push-pull? If so, which one did you install, on which neck, and what was the outcome.
Thanks in advance to all that may respond. |

I put a 409 in the E9 on my '67 bolt-on. It's been in there for over a year I so the outcome was favorable I would say 😉 _________________ Tommy Detamore

I have an Emmons '81 S10 loafer push pull that I put a Telonics 409 into. The first thing that stood out was the clarity of the string separation. It also has a little bit of "edge' to the sound which gives the whole thing more prominence to my ears.
Even after 18 months I am still tweaking & fine tuning the pole adjustments, because my ears are the only variable in the equation & I guess it depends on how I feel on any given day (I'm the weak link in the chain).
All that being said I have no regrets in having put it in & would highly recommend the product. |

Tommy, is that the rig you used on the new Jim Lauderdale album? I like how clear the low strings sound on those wide grips. |

Hi Mike,
I've installed several Telonics 409 pickups in various guitars (including Emmons PP's) with outstanding results!

Thanks Brett! No, those are the original stock single coil Emmons pickups that came on the wraparound (E9:15k C6:16.2k)
I used my bolt-on with the Telonics on the Dallas Wayne record, "Songs The Jukebox Taught Me". To me, a similar separation can be heard. Maybe check out the solo on "Eleven Roses" and see what you think. I used some pretty wide grips on that one... _________________ Tommy Detamore

Thank you Tommy! You sure sound great, and it seems like you have some fine guitars to choose from. I like that tune, has kind of a George Jones/Billy Sherrill vibe to it. |

Thanks again Brett! Billy Sherrill was a genius and I admire his work a lot. So it stands to reason that his influence creeps into my work. I take your comment as a high compliment indeed! _________________ Tommy Detamore
