Hi! I've started a monthly residency in LA! Every third Tuesday at the Escondite in Downtown LA I'll be featuring a guest singer songwriter and we will do our thing for two sets!

This month at the debut PSP, I get to feature Frank Lee Drennen!

Frank was my first guest artist at my Pedal Steel Party in San Diego (first sunday of every month at Nate's Garden Grill) in August and he is the perfect person to help kick it off in LA!!!!
His work with Dead Rock West has been exceptional and he's got a new solo record that I'm in love with - MAYBE he'll have some advance copies to sell! Come see why he's been one of my favorite writers for well over a decade!

Dead Rock West have had several records with Greg Leisz and his solo record has some stellar work by steeler Charlie Joe Wallace.

Very cool project Joel! Wish I was a tad bit closer which would make it a lot easier to attend but work has put me out in the desert for the time being and I rarely get to go to L.A. anymore.

Hey Joel... this is so very cool !

I know it's been a coon's age since you and I played together at one of Mike Perlman's jams..... you must be just an awesome steeler now, you were so good way back then!

All the best to you and your shows.....

... and yeah Charlie Wallace would be an ace... as would be my dear friends Jim Eaton.. and Nor-cal buddy Dave Zirble!

Rock on Joel!

I just now saw this. Will other steel players be allowed to play?
