My deepest condolences go out to Lloyd and the Green family. Dot's passing is such a loss and hard for many to accept. I suggest we keep in mind that the D in Lloyd's innovative SD-10 Sho Bud LDG stands for his wife, Dot. Perhaps this is a trivial fact (learned from SGF archives) but Dot's inpiration certainly meant a lot to Lloyd over 40 years ago when he developed his signature guitar. She is clearly a part of our steel guitar history. |

Dot was bright, elegant, engaged, energetic; it's easy to see why a Lloyd Green (or anyone with eyes and a brain and a heart) would love her.
Warmest regards to all,

I haven't read this part of the forum in a good while now, so I just now found this out. My sincerest condolences to Lloyd and their entire family. I'm so sorry to hear of this. I never had the pleasure of meeting her, but obviously she was quite a wonderful, remarkable lady. |

Dear Lloyd, I'm so very sad to hear about your recent loss! I'll always cherish the memory meeting you in person in sep. 1993 when visiting at your home together with my father! You've always been and you'll always remain my number one steel-guitar hero! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this difficult and sad time! <3

I try to avoid this section of the forum as much as I can, I just found out about Mrs.Green passing, and I am so sorry... I was fortunate to meet Mrs. Green few years back, and I can only say I wish I could find someone like that, to have as loving, and beautiful relationship as you Mr. Green, and your wife Dorothy had...My thoughts & prayers are with you. _________________ https://steelguitarsonline.com/ |
