I am saddened to hear this news. Years back I purchased a Cd from Lloyd via the internet and it duly arrived with a personal handwritten note from Lloyd wishing me well. I have this note on the wall of my studio and look at it every day. My condolences to Lloyd and his family on Dots passing.

Never met your better half, Lloyd, but my heart goes out to you. Death don't have no mercy in this land... I hope you have the strength to feel the pain and carry on afterwards.

The strength and graciousness of this man is unfathomable. I emailed him my condolences on Saturday and within 5 hours he emailed me back and thanked me for my friendship. I will forever love and respect this amazing individual...Lloyd Green.

Dorthy "Dot" Green obituary Nashville, Tennessean.

http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/tennessean/obituary.aspx?n=dorothy-green-dot&pid=181368016&fhid=3981

There was Lloyd Green "the musician" and then there was Lloyd Green "the business." Both equally essential for success in the music business. Dot ran the business.

Mr. Lloyd and family, I would like to express my sincere sympathy to you and your family. Blessings such as the two of you shared don't come to very many people.

Wow. That is a wonderful obituary in the Tennessean.

Obviously only a snapshot of Mrs. Green - but talk about a life well-lived...

So sorry for your loss, Mr. Green. I can't imagine how this loss must feel but you clearly have many relatives, friends, acquaintances and strangers lining up to walk with you in your grief. May you find some comfort and peace in that.

Lloyd, my condolances to you. My wife Lily passed 2 years ago and I know the feelings and thoughts about someone who supported your ambitions and goals, for without them they would not have been achieved. It just plain sucks when they leave us.

Mr Green, my deepest sympathies to you. In the wake of your wife's passing, I offer this song. I just can't say it any better than this.

SMILE

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though it's breaking.
When there are clouds in the sky
you'll get by.

If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through
For you.

Light up your face with gladness,
Hide every trace of sadness.
Although a tear may be ever so near

That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying.
You'll find that life is still worthwhile-
If you just smile.
