So truly sorry to hear of your sweet wife's passing.
Without question Dot was instrumental in helping you
be the man you have always shown yourself to be.
Beside a great man is usually a great woman.
I am sure she is looking down from above with pride in you and your family.
RIP Dot Green. _________________ DLD, Chili farmer. Plus bananas and papaya too.

Lloyd Green wanted me to post this message from him>
-------------------------------------
"Forum members, I’ve read every single one of your posts concerning my beautiful wife and friend Dot’s death.
I have seldom in my life been so moved by such outpourings of love, compassion and concern. To say I’m deeply and emotionally touched by your words and thoughts does not accurately convey the gratitude and tears I’ve shed while reading them.
From my loving family and myself and Dot in absentia, may I simply and humbly say, â€Thank all of youâ€.
She’ll live on in my memories and heart as long as I still breathe. Without Dot, I can honestly say none of you would have ever heard of me or my music because she believed in my talent and kept my spirits alive when no one else in Nashville did and I wanted to quit.
So Dot Green was as much a part of my music, ideas and soul as I. I loved her. I truly and forever will love that beautiful soul as most who knew her did.
I empathize with the many of you on here who have gone through the same loss I’ve just experienced. Peace to you, too.
Again, may I express to each of you my profound gratitude."
Lloyd Green

Dot was a sweet, warmhearted, caring wife. I met her and you in Madison/Nashville in 1992 and 2005, and in Furuvik/Sweden in 2000.

Lloyd, words seem so inadequate at such a time, but from all those on the distant side of the world who know and love you and your music, our most heartfelt condolences on this tragic loss. _________________ The steel guitar is a hard mistress. She will obsess you, bemuse and bewitch you. She will dash your hopes on what seems to be whim, only to tease you into renewing the relationship once more so she can do it to you all over again...and yet, if you somehow manage to touch her in that certain magic way, she will yield up a sound which has so much soul, raw emotion and heartfelt depth to it that she will pierce you to the very core of your being. |
