Over the years I have purchased a lot of Jim Loessbergs courses for C6th featuring jazz or standards. When I first started they were all on cassette, but now he has them on CD of course. At any rate, I just want to say that his material is great and well worth the time to learn. He plays the songs, tabs them out and then talks you through the tunes and gives you insight into some theory and chord substitutions. I recently, in the past 2 days, ordered some more and they came quickly...he was most gracious in his emails and I am just thrilled with the quality. Its not surprising, when you listen to his playing, then you all know what a perfectionist he is...highly recommend any of his materials !!

Totally agree - got some stuff from him awhile back and it's pretty stellar. In fact, that reminds me, I've been meaning to learn some more of that Ray Price stuff he teaches... back to the rehearsal room!

I am finding his Right Hand Technique for E9 really useful. For anyone who isn't sure about palm-blocking vs pick-blocking, the answer couldn't be clearer - you need to learn both!

I just ordered a couple of his C6 courses and I'm looking forward to them - Larry is right about the quality.

Be warned!!! His C6 stuff is not for the feint-hearted. He really rips it up. But I think it is just great.
