I currently have the Franklin lower (5,6,10 a whole tone) on my G2.
I really don't use the change as much as I'd hoped to so Im considering changing it to something more useful.
I play classic country steel. I would like a change that could be utilized with the A pedal so that Its more diverse. Any suggestions?
Thanks for your help!
Jeff

If you want something that works together simultaneously with the A pedal, drop the G#s to G.
I find the 1st and 2nd string raise works well in conjunction with, but right before and after rather than simultaneously with, the A pedal (the knee that drops 6 to F# also raises 1 to G)

G# to Bb is another popular change that works with your A pedal. I currently have G# to B on my 0 pedal.

I have always raised strings 1 and 7 ( 1 tone )and string 2
( 1/2 tone ).
It works well with the " A pedal ".
My Franklin is a the Left knee Left - rear, knee lever
LKL front raises strings 4/8, 1/2 tone

This way, I have 4 on the floor and 6 knees on the " E9th "

Jeff do a search on here for some useful information on uses of the Franklin pedal ....it can be used a lot more than you think ....and Paul has a instructional CD on it as well.

Worth spending more time on how it works rather than just changing for the sake of it Very Happy

On my B6/E9 12 string:

I raise my 10 string (G#) to B
drop my 8 string (E) to Eb
raise my 6 string (G#) to A

With my 0 pedal and pedal 1 down, I get a full B11...great for jazz, big band, and Hawaiian songs.

I would keep it and learn to use it more, changing to another pull that you are not familiar with will get you to the same ending, you won't use it much.

The FP is a brilliant change even if you only use it a little bit here and there.
