Several years ago I saw a video (surely YouTube)from this Forum that featured a steel player playing with a track. He was alone in a studio and the video appeared to be professionally done. I know that is not much information to go on but does anyone remember that video and who that was? Thanks. _________________ Show Pro SD10 guitars

Good luck with that! Can you recall what the song was that was being played? |

I can't recall the song. I know, dumb to bring it up but I was hoping it might trigger something in someone's mind.

Thanks Jim - it wasn't Tony. I think the track the guy I am trying to remember was playing with was an instrumental, again, all professionally produced. _________________ Show Pro SD10 guitars

Maybe Tommy White, Dale Rottacker, William Litaker, Steve Benzian, Tony Prior, Greg Cutshaw, off the top of my head.... |

Thanks Jim - those will give me hours of YouTube viewing but not who I was thinking of. In my "mind's eye" the person I remember in the video I am seeking looked a little, maybe built like, Con Hunley (but it wasn't Mr. Carter who plays with Con sometimes).
Thanks again for helping me scratch this itch. _________________ Show Pro SD10 guitars

John Brabant that is the one - thanks so much!!!
I said earlier it was not Mr. Carter but I had names mixed up, I was thinking actually of Mike Johnson who plays so well for Con Hunley in some videos. But that Gary Carter is the video I was looking for. Thank you John and all of you who tried to help my feeble recollection efforts. _________________ Show Pro SD10 guitars

My favorite steel video; love being able to watch while I listen.
Amazing you got your answer, but it's an amazing forum. |

It truly was a needle in a haystack especially since I inadvertently gave misdirection. I knew someone on the forum would be able to pick up on some part of what I said give me the answer. Very cool! _________________ Show Pro SD10 guitars

As soon as I read your question, Gary Carter's video came to mind, as when I watched it the first time a while back, I couldn't get over how well produced it was. I wish Gary would do a whole DVD of him playing other tunes, documented in the same manner. Really spectacular. Glad we found it for you Fred. _________________ John Brabant
