I have the TCA-500C combo and it works so well for standard guitar that I've sold my Fender Deluxe and Princeton amps. I just add a Keeley compressor on the way in and I can get a nice variety or either full or blistering tele tones without the typical transistor harshness even without over scooping the mid-range. Even with the 15" speaker the amp weighs less than a small Fender tube amp!
