Anyone know anything about what's going on with Sid Hudson and Live Steel Strings?

I tried to place online order and it didn't work. I've call numerous times and no answer. I sent an Email and no answer.

I always had great luck with them and this isn't their normal MO. I'm kinda stressed as I'm going to Cheyenne to play for a week and needed the strings here this coming Friday.

Several brands of steel guitar strings including Jagwire Strings are readily available on The Forum. Smile

I checked and there are no sets, only singles in Jagwire. I've tried all those other brands and they just don't do it for me.

I recently tried Cobra Coils and after three nights, the 3rd string broke and I play a Williams which is very easy on the finger radius.

After years of trying pretty much every brand, I got really hooked on Jagwire and then Live Wire after Jagwire started becoming very hard to get and now it appears somethings amiss with Live Wire.

Dale, order me some and I'll send ya the money cuz I've called Sid several times a day since Monday and no one answers @804-452-2019 unless I'm calling the wrong number.

Called Jag Wire direct, got voice mail and no one has called back.

I need to get my wife into the string business I guess.

Dick,

I have a couple sets of cryogenically-treated E-9 strings here at the house. I'm in West Fort Worth. I believe these are E9th...not sure he make them in C-6th versions. (The first string I looked at was a 12 gauge string...)

At any rate, let me know if you're interested. I know your leaving soon, so this should help you out.

Thanks,

Don

I ordered a bunch of strings yesterday and everything went through fine. The website is not very easy to navigate though.

I ordered 6 sets of Jagwire 10 days ago and haven't gotten them yet. How long does it usually take?

I ordered some about a month ago, and I got them in maybe 3 weeks at the most. I've been using Live steel strings, but want to try Jagwires again and see which I like better.

Dick, I’m sorry I didn’t see this earlier... I’ve been sleeping then working and then traveling to the other side of the Mountains... But tell me what you want and I’d be glad to get them for you... Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Maybe they are on vacation and don't use an answering machine. I'll keep trying but for now Don Mogel came to my rescue.

I tried to any time somebody complains about not getting their order they assume the order went through when there's actually a problem with her credit card. place online order and it didn't like most. I've call numerous times and no answer. I sent an Email and no answer.

Dick, live steel strings is a family owned and run business. Which means we have weddings vacations death Xcetera. Last 2 weeks has been vacation in Myrtle Beach which means Jordan was with me no one to answer the phone so if you choose not to order on the internet like 99% of our customers, we'll get it when we get back. Let me give you some really good advice, don't wait to the last minute to order your strings.

Great strings and always fast service. I always stock up. It's no fun trying to find pedal steel strings at a music store.
