Thank you for posting that.
I am a beginning player and I am afraid I am going to stay that way
a long time as there are no teachers in my area and it is hard to find a nice clear demonstration of a technique on video.
I can be told 1000 times how to do something and it is usually still a mystery.
That video showed me exactly what I should be doing.

That is the biggest drawback for me concerning the many online lessons available.
They all give the tabs, they show you how it is played. Sometimes they even slow it down or give a closeup
of the hands but they never show how, what and when to block or demonstrate a good bar technique.
I also have nothing capable of getting me on Skype.
I can play quite a few simple songs now but I sound like heck because my techniques really suck swamp water.
But it was either the lap steel or bagpipes so..................... Shocked

Glad the video helped.

Hang in there Lap Steel Guitar is a journey that requires patience and lots of self study but is truly rewarding.

Andy Volk has a really informative collection of books that will help you. I suggest ordering those. Winking the knowledge will save you years of self study if you go the C6 tuning route. It also shows clear images of how to achieve better technique.
